We boarded the ferry this morning at around 9 am and headed towards Juneau, but not without seeing some sea lions and a humpback whale!!! And dad is the one who spotted the whale outside our window!! The ride was about 5 hours long. Once we got to Juneau, we checked into the hotel and went out for lunch/dinner. Mom and dad went back to the hotel to relax while Briana and I went exploring downtown. We went to the state capitol building, the governor's mansion, an old russian orthodox church and the harbor. And we did all of this under a light drizzle of rain. It does not seem to stop here in this area. When we checked into our room, the lady at the desk said that they had already had their one day of sunshine this year. Ouch.

ps We will be boarding our ferry this evening bound for Prince Rupert, Canada. We will be onboard for about 3 days and will not have internet. So I will cach up on the blog as soon as I am able.
