Day 41!!

Her we go again!!! We left Haines Junction, Yukon Territory this morning and drove to Haines, Alaska. To get here we also had to drive through British Columbia again. I loved Haines as soon as we got here. This is where we board the ferry tomorrow bound for Juneau. After we checked into our hotel, we took a drive to Chilkoot Lake. BEAUTIFUL. Turqoise-blue waters, waterfalls and bald eagles all around. We then headed out for dinner at a wonderful place called the Bamboo Room. I had the halibut and it was delicious!! Dad and I decided to go out for a drive to check out the area. This town is what I have always envisioned whenever I thought of Alaska. A beautiful little harbor, quirky people, snow-capped mountains all around and amazing wildlife. I'm really glad we had to come through here!!

Days 38, 39, 40

SORRY!! We haven't had the internet now for a few days. We have had to travel throught some real back country. We traveled to Glennallen then back to the Yukon Territory, Canada then to the town of Beaver Creek and then to Haines Junction. We had some really nasty, cold and rainy weather that we had to travel through. only yesterday on our way through the Yukon to Haines Junction did it start to get really nice and warm. While we were in Beaver Creek, mom and Briana took in another show at the hotel and had a blast. Dad and I tried to catch up on bit of sleep. We traveled through some really beautiful countryside and even stopped for a while by a huge crystal-clear water lake in the Yukon just outside of Haines Junction. Tomorrow we arrive back in Alaska......I know. If it's confusing for you, imagine how confused we are. Most of the time we don't know what country we're in let alone which state, province or city. And most of the time we can't remember what day of the week it is. In a few days we have to travel back through Canada again to get back to the US. CRAZY. That means we will have crosses back and forth from Canada to the US 3 times before we are finished!!!!!
